Fanatec x Black Falcon Livery Competition

In July this year the Black Falcon Fanatec team hosted a design competition for their content-creator driven #632 Porsche Cup car. The brief was pretty much hands off, just create something representative of the
brand and what they stand for.

With merely days left to submit entries I put together two concepts. The first concept shown above was driven by a child-like interpretation of motorsport and imbuing the spirit of that into the design.

I began with the livery they’ve been running this season and took a rough, scribble approach. Not only does this keep their brand identity consistent for continuity but changes it just enough that those with a keen eye
can appreciate the detail.

The second concept followed a completely different philosophy. With this one I took a more contemporary-retro look, with pinstriping and circle throwback number plates to boot.

The goal with this design was to not only pop on track, but to stand out amongst the over-developed complicated designs you often see lapping the Green Hell.
